In 1916, the young and ambitious Professor Duffer A. Hacker set out on a quest to uncover treasures and artifacts in the Lancaster area. Among the local legends was a tale of gold and jewels buried east of the Conestoga River. Through his research, Professor Hacker discovered that Lancaster served as the capital of the United States for one day in September 1777, as the Continental Congress fled Philadelphia during the British invasion. The story goes that one of the “Signers,” fearing capture or the dangers of crossing the Conestoga, fell behind and buried a heavy load of treasure near a tree with purple leaves.

Join Professor Hacker on this thrilling expedition and see if you can uncover the legendary treasure hidden near the mysterious purple-leaved tree. Feeling even more daring? Take on the challenge of the maze discovered during his journey. We hope you have a fantastic time exploring this Lancaster mini golf course!
